My New Year’s Resolutions Have No Target
It’s that time of the year again when every post is about making New Year’s resolutions. For someone who doesn’t like to put pressure on myself voluntarily, making New Year’s resolutions is not my favourite thing to do. Why can’t we enjoy and start the new year without the pressure to accomplish something?
I get it. The New Year’s resolution will give you some guidance on what you should accomplish during the year to progress in life. That’s why this year, I’m jumping on board with the New Year’s resolutions people and creating one that fits my liking.
There is no target for personal growth.
I decided to write a daily journal using The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman for my personal growth. I don’t have a target, but I cultivate a habit of doing it every day.
There is no target for physical growth.
I have been doing CrossFit and Pilates every week, and I intend to continue doing that. I pay for the classes in advance, so I better use it.
I have a target for financial growth.
Financial growth is the only resolution on my agenda that has a target. I joined a 12-month financial planning course and started creating targets that I wanted to achieve by the end of 2025.
