My husband and I just finished a road trip from Victoria’s southeast coast to New South Wales’s mid-north coast. It is the best way to explore Australia’s East Coast region — the Australian Way!

Most Australians spend their holidays on a road trip in a campervan or caravan. If you want to immerse yourself in one of Australia’s local cultures and have the time to do so, book a campervan and experience it yourself.

An Australian road trip means staying at the most strategic places in every town, usually by the beach or city centre. You will find that almost every caravan park in Australia is located in strategic areas like beachfront, lakefront, riverfront, or city/town centres. We walk everywhere and swim whenever we want it. A regular consumption of sausage sangas, an Australian version of grilled sausage on a square white bread. And having different neighbours coming from other parts of Australia.

When I tried to create the route, Google Maps only allowed a certain number of stops. This image captures most of the places we stopped.
