Great article! How about improving the immigration policies in order to benefit Americans instead of the American businesses? In my home country, foreigners can only be hired for a certain level of jobs, like senior managers, directors, or technical advisors, in pursuing the transfer of knowledge since we don't have enough people with specialized jobs (like IT). And due to that position level, their salaries have to be higher than the regular staff and managers. So the idea of having a foreign worker in the company can be costly instead of cheaper.

I sometimes think that the US policies are made to benefit the rich and businesses instead of its own citizens, who vote for a government to run the country. Maybe the changes have to be done from there too.
